The poem highlights the power and strength of a mother. The poet says that his mother is not afraid of anything, darkness doesn’t fears her and thunders doesn’t  make her shiver. She is a strong woman . The poet also shows how his mother has raised her and helped her in overcoming the fear. He describes how his mother makes him get ready every day for school .
