SOLUTION.
ACC to Newton
"Every body in this universe with mass attract other bodies around it with a force proportional to mass of both bodies and invertionally proportional to square of the distance"
Hence Force f is equal to....
F = GMm/r²
G is the constant
M is the mass of one body
m is the mass of other.
And we also know that
F = ma
ma = GMm/r²
a = GM/r²
a = g if M is the mass of the earth
g = GM/r²
Let the mass of the planet be M°
Radius be R°
than ACCELERATION on this planet....
a = GM°/R°²
AC to question
M° = 2M
R° = 2R
a = 2GM/(4R²)
a = GM/(2R²)
a = (GM/R²)(1/2)
a = g/2
A = 4.9m/sec²
