x(x-4)+p=0

x²-4x+p=0

p= -x²+4x

Answer:

x(x - 4)+p = 0

It can be written as

x^2 - 4x + p =0

as,

a= 1, b= -4, c= p

d= b^2 - 4ac

By putting the values,  

= (-4)2 - 4(1)(p)

= 16 - 4p

4p = 16

p = 16/4 = 4.
