Answer:

here OA=OC =radius=x cm

triangle OAB is a right angle triangle

so,

OB^2=OA^2+AB^2

here OB=OC+BC=(8+x) cm

OA==x cm

AB= 12 cm

(8+x)^2=x^2+12^2

=> 64+16x+x^2=x^2+144

=> 16x+x^2-x^2=144-64

=> 16x=80

=> x=80/16=5

=> x=5

so, radius =5 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

let oa=x and oc =x

because oa and oc are radius to circle

according bro Pythagorean theorem

(x+8)^2= x^2+(12)^2

x^2 + 64 + 16x= x^2 +144

16x = 80

x = 5 cm
