 \sin(12)  -  \cos(78)  +   { \sec \ }^{2}  \alpha  -   \\ { \cot}^{2}  (90 -  \alpha )

 \sin(12 )  -   \cos(90 - 12)  +   { \sec}^{2}  \alpha   -  \\  { \tan \: }^{2}  \alpha

 \sin(12)  -  \sin(12 )  + 1

=1
