Well! we have to find the value of x that satisfies the given equation

so,

2x+4=8

Since left hand side (LHS) is equal to right hand side (RHS), subtracting the same quantity from both the sides will not change the equation.

So, 2x+4–4=8–4

or, 2x=4

Now again dividing the LHS and RHS of the above equation with the same number will leave the equation unaltered.

Therefore we have,

2x/2=4/2

or, x=2

So, the value of x is 2.
