The value of x= 41/72 and y = 41/44.

Given:

The equations  3x+5y=12xy and 7x-2y=4xy.

To Find:

Value of x and y which satisfies the given equations.

Solution:

We have two equations

3x+5y=12xy                  ................................(1)

7x-2y=4xy                     .................................(2)

Multiplying equation (1) by 2, we get

6x+10y= 24xy                ................................(3)

Multiplying equation (2) by 5, we get

35x-10y=20xy               ..................................(4)

Adding equations (3) and (4) we get

(6x+10y) + (35x-10y) = 24xy + 20xy

⇒ 41x = 44xy

⇒ y = 41/44.

Substituting this value of y in equation (2) we get,

7x- (2*\frac{41}{44}) = 4x * \frac{41}{44}

⇒ (7x * 22) - 41 = 2x *41

⇒ 154x - 41= 82x

⇒ 72x= 41

⇒ x= 41/72.

The value of x= 41/72 and y = 41/44.
