The chapter of the duck and the kangaroo explains the importance of compromise and teamwork.

The duck was initially carried by the kangaroo on his back, and in return the duck promised he would say nothing more than a quack. Later on when the duck wanted to be carried again, the kangaroo was hesitant because the duck's feet were cold.

However the duck agreed to put on a pair of warm socks so that the kangaroo doesn't face any discomfort.
