simply convert km/hr into m/s

36 km/hr=36*5/18 = 10 m/s

108 km/hr=108*5/18 = 30 m/s

now[math] [/math]

a = change in velocity/time taken

a = 30–10/16

a = 20/16 = 5/4 m/s^2

a = 1.25 m/s^2
