here is your answer

here alpha is given to be 80 % or 0.8

as we know.. ..

Hg2Cl2 gives (Hg2 )2+....and 2Cl-

so n= 1+2=3

alpha = vant Hoff factor (i) - 1/ n-1

so putting all the values we get

0.8=i-1/3-1

so i= 2.6
