Vansh wants to cover the floor of a room 4 metre wide and 5 metre long by

square tiles. If each square tile is of side 0.4 metre, then find the number of

tiles required to cover the floor of the room. Also find the cost of the tiles if

each tile cost Rupees 9.

BREADTH OF THE FLOOR=5M

∴AREA OF THE FLOOR=(4×5)M^2=20M^2

EACH SIDE OF A SQUARE TILE=0.4 M

∴AREA OF THE SQUARE TILE=(0.4×0.4)M^2=0.16M^2

∴NO. OF TILES REQUIRED=20M^2 ÷0.16M^2=    75

COST 0F 1 TILE=RS. 9

∴COST OF 75 TILES= RS. 75×9 = RS. 675
