Vapour pressure of water, acetone and ethanol at 293 K are 2.34, 12.3 and 5.85 k_{Pa} respectively. Which of these has the lowest and the highest boiling point? At 293 K which of these evaporates least in a sealed container before equilibrium is reached?

We know that when the temperature rises, the vapour pressure of a liquid also increases and the vapour pressure is equal to the atmospheric pressure at the boiling point.

A liquid with a lower vapour pressure requires a higher temperature to achieve its atmospheric pressure vapour pressure.

The liquid with the highest vapour pressure therefore has the lowest boiling point. The lowest boiling point is acetone and the highest boiling point is water.

Before balance is established, water evaporates least in the sealed container at 293 K.

Hey mate.....

LIQUID HAVING LOWER VAPOUR PRESSURE HAVE HIGH TEMPERATURE..
and
LIQUID HAVING HIGH VAPOUR PRESSURE WILL HAVE LOW TEMPERATURE
