The human element is the only variable which is not supported by automation anywhere. Although robots can predict other variables to a reasonable extent since they are always repetitive in nature, humans are unpredictable and do not have a fixed pattern or set of behaviours.

Variables include faulty barcodes, incorrect stickers, incompletely filled containers etc. in the situation of a factory producing goods. However, humans can make a lot of mistakes that cannot be programmed into the robot’s memory. All of these faults and mistakes cannot be handled by robots and instead require human intervention.
