Variation is useful for the survival of species as any kind of disorder or gene defect is not carried in the future generation and thus , the offsprings may not be acquiring the same defect . The defect overs in a species as soon as the organism dies while variants have unequal changes of survival as taking an example of beetles, some beetles might have a good tendency to bear intense heat while some not due to variation in their genes . Some of the beetles might not bear that much heat and thus would die if exposed to such conditions . Thus , variations is useful of species overtime but the variants have an equal changes of survival .
