Variegated leaves with green and yellow pages is used for an experiment to prove that chlorophyll is required for photosynthesis before the experiment the green portion and the pale yellow portion are observed what will be the colour of a just before and after the starch test also write the equation of photosynthesis and mark as well as validate from which molecule the byproduct is obtained

First of all the it is to be considered whether there is starch present or not so iodine is applied for the test.

The color of starch turns  into  blue black color  when it is reacted with  an aqueous solution of  triodide  anion .

Before the  starch test pale yellow color the follow reaction is seen .

6CO₂ + 6H₂O → C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6O₂

The above reaction is only possible due to the presence of sunlight.

Before starting the starch test, the color of A found to be available in the pale yellow and this is due to the chlorophyll wants to be removed before getting into the starch test.

After completing the starch test, the color is blue-black and this time it is due to the reaction of iodine and starch available in the leaf.

The Equation will be as follows for the photosynthesis

6CO2 + 6H2O + Light energy  ----> C6H12O6  + 6O2
