Answer:

Dr. A.P.J.Abdul Kalam is a source of inspiration for thousands of youth, with whom he shared his wisdom and experience, motivating them to dream big.

He was a teacher, an aerospace engineer, a scientist, President and a writer, yet deeply humble. It is this quality of all embracing human warmth whcih stands out as the most prominent in his character.

A great leader.

During 1980’s he was able to convince Indira Gandhi to allocate funds for aerospace projects despite Union Cabinet’s disapproval.

“Let me define a leader. He must have vision and passion and not be afraid of any problem. Instead, he should know how to defeat it. Most importantly, he must work with integrity.”

2. Pushed his boundaries.

At MIT, Dr.Kalam was told by his professors to recreate an aircraft design or lose his scholarship and was given only 3 days time, which would have ideally taken a few weeks.

With determination, he came up with a design that won him accolades from his professors.

3. He brought dignity to whatever he did. Even politics.

4. Dr. Kalam was a great colleague, went an extra mile to for his co workers.

One day, one of his co-workers had taken permission from Dr. Kalam to leave early from work as he had to take his kids to the carnival. But for some reason he could not get free on time. When he reached home later in the night, his wife told him that Dr. Kalam had visited their house earlier that evening and had taken the kids to the carnival.

He is not only the most optimistic statesman of India but also an influential leader who has captured the heart and minds of millions of youth across the nation.
