The boys Jacapo and Nicola both were useful to the narrator and his companion in a number of ways, they toured them around Verona showing them various sites including Juliet's tomb. They also got pack of American cigarettes for the narrator and proved helpful by providing names of good restaurants in Verona and booking seats for them for opera.
