Varun and Arun can plough a field in 12 hours and 18 hours respectively.
:work done by Varun in 1 hour is equal to 1/12th part and work done by Arun in 1 hour is equal to 1/18th part
Varun 4 hour work is equal to 4multiply 1/12 =1/3.
remaining work is equal to 1 minus 1/3=2/3.
in one hour Arun ploughs 1/18 th part,of the field
=2/3÷1/18
=2/3 * 18
=12 days..

Answer:12 hrs

Step-by-step explanation:varun complete a work in 12 hrs

Arun do it in =18 hrs

A hour work of varun =1/12

A hour work of arun = 1/ 18

So 4 hrs work of varun complete 4×1/12=1/3 work

So remaining work =1-1/3=2/3 work;

Then arun join work for comoletion so,

2/3×18=12 hrs.
