v = 3b __(1
• Four year ago Varun was four times the age of her.
Their ages before 4 years were : v-4 and b-4
So,
(v-4) = 4(b-4) __(2
Now,
by substituting the value of first eq.1 in eq.2 :
(3b - 4) = 4(b - 4)
= 3b - 4 = 4b - 16
= 12 = b
Therefore, bhanuz age is 12.
Than Varunz age is 12 * 3 = 36
