Answer:

100x is monthly salary. — (1)

40x is rent.

25% of remaining(60x) = 15x is spent on food.

Saving = 45x

According to the question, 48,600/12 is monthly saving = 4,050

Now, 45x = 4,050

x = 4,050/45 = 90

From — (1),

100x was his salary, so

90 * 100 = 9,000 is his salary.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the Salary of Varun be Rs. x.

Percentage spent on House rent = 25% of x = 0.25x.

Amount left with Varun = x - 0.25x = 0.75x.

Percentage spent on Food and School fees = 40% of 0.75x

                                                                         = 40/100 * 0.75x = 0.3x.

So, amount left with Varun now = 0.75x - 0.3x = 0.45x.

Percentage deposited in bank = 60% of 0.45x

                                                   = 60/100 * 0.45x = 0.27x.

So final amount left with Varun = 0.45x - 0.27x = 0.18x.

But it is given, this remaining amount left with Varun = Rs. 4320

=> 0.18x = 4320

=> x = 4320/0.18 = 4320 * 100/18 = 240 * 100 = Rs. 24000.

Thus total monthly Salary of Varun = Rs. 24000.
