Veena has a total of ₹ 5000 as currency notes in the denominations of 500, 100 and 50. The ratio of the number of ₹ 500 and ₹100 notes is 3: 8. She has a total of 30 notes. How many notes of each denomination does she have?

The number of 10 rupee notes =90−x

Then ,according to the question

5x+10(90−x)=500

5x+900−10x=500

5x=400

x=80

There are 80 notes of Rs.5 and 10 notes of Rs.10.
