Veena's age = x

Son's age - x/3

Father's age = 5x/2

Average age = 46

Total age = x + x/3 + 5x/2  or 46*3

x + x/3 + 5x/2  = 46*3

6x + 2x + 15x = 46*3 *6

23x = 46*3*6

x = 2*3*6 = 36

Veena's age = 36

Son's age = 36/3 = 12

Father's age = 5*36/2 = 90

Difference between Veena's son's age and Veena's father's age =

   90 - 12 = 78years
