Veer can do a work in days. While sameer can do the same work in (n+4) days. Ratio of work done by veer in 3 days to work done by sameer in 4 days is 15:16. Find the value of x'.

Given, Veer can do a work in 'n' days and Sameer can do it in (n+4) days.

Veer's 1 day work = 1/n

Veer's 3 days work = 3/n

Sameer's 1 day work = 1/(n+4)

Sameer's 4 days work = 4/(n+4)

Ratio of Veer's 3 days work to Sameer's 4 days work = 3/n ÷ 4/(n+4)

= 3(n+4)/4n

Given, this ratio is equal to 15:16

So, 3(n+4)/4n = 15/16

⇒ 4(n+4) = 5n

⇒ n = 16
