Let the monthly income of Veer be x,
Amount spent on house rent = 15x/100
Amount left = (x - 15x/100) = 85x/100
Amount spent on house expenditure = 60/100 x 85x/100 = 51x/100
Thus, Savings = {x - (15x/100 + 51x/100)}
= x - 66x/100
= 34x/100
We know that his savings = 2210
or, 34x/100 = 2210
= 34x = 221000
= x = 6500
Therefore, Veer's income is Rs. 6500
Hope that helps !!

Let salary= x
Then, Salary spent in house rent= 15% of x
=15x/100=3x/20
Salary left=x-3x/20=17x/20
Salary in house exp.= 60% of the remaining
=60/100 × 17x/20
=3/5 × 17x/20
=51x/100
Remaining salary= x-(51x/100 + 3x/20)
= x- 66x/100= (100x-66x)/100
=34x/100=17x/50
Therefore, 17x/50 = 2210 (given)
x= 2210×50/17 = Rs 6500
