vegetable grow well in sand or not

Difficult to say. In my view, vegetables grow well in sand. If there woud not sand then how you couldn't plant the vegetables. In sand, vegetable like carrot, brokole, potatoes earns their important water through the sand only not from river

vegetable root caps like carrot ,parsnips, lettuce, pepper , strawberry,are grown commercial in sandy soil and many other vegetables can grow in sandy soil
