I believe liver has the most vitamin A of any food, fish oils are also a good source, and eggs contain a small amount. Otherwise, milk and cereals are often fortified with vitamin A. As a rule, animal products contain "preformed" vitamin A (retinol), fruits and vegetables don't, instead they contain beta-carotene, and some other carotenoids, which your body readily converts into vitamin A. Interestingly, even though your body converts them into retinol, carotenoids can be eaten in abundance without risk of toxicity, retinol itself though is toxic in high doses.
