The vegetative propagule is the part of rhizome both in Banana and ginger. In a banana the rhizome or the su.ck.ers are propagated which is the common propagate for banana propagation in a plantation development. This part of banana (rhizome) is a true stem which is commonly known as corm or bulb but botanically speaking of it is still known as rhizome. They have horizontal below the surface production of growth. The eventual terminal growing point (from the major part of meristematic tissue) is done from the apical meristematic tissue and the final inflorescence of the plant of banana is formed. The life span of a average or typical banana plant is 25 years.
