velocity is defined as the rate of change of displacement with respect to time

v=Δx/t

v=dx/dt

whereas acceleration is the rate pf change of velocity with respect to time.

a=Δv/t

a=dv/dt

also some relations are

v=u+at

v²-u²=2as
