Hey Here is your answer

Magnitude of INSTANTANEOUS velocity of a particle is equal to its INSTANTANEOUS speed.

Magnitude of Displacement is always less than or equal to Distance travelled under same duration. So magnitude of AVERAGE velocity is always less than or equal to AVERAGE speed over same duration.

Equality holds true if displacement is infinitesimally small in which case magnitude of displacement & distance becomes equal so the magnitude of velocity & speed.

Hope it helps

hi friend here is your answer
see the speed of the body is the distance covered by the body in the given time
while velocity is the distance covered by a body in the given time and in a particular direction
From direction it is clear that since the speed do nt depends on direction it will always be positive
while velocity depends upon direction and if the body moves in opposite direction the velocity will be -
Thank you
may this help you in the best way it can
