we know that at the maximum height, the vertical component of velocity is zero.

so only the horizontal component is present at the maximum height that is ucos theta.
horizontal component remains constant because no horizontal acceleration is present.

Velocity of projectile at maximum height is same alws i.e ucosk where u is velocitu of projection and k is angle of projection..
