Given :

  • Velocity of a car started from rest reaches 24 m/s in 4 seconds .

To Find :

  • Acceleration of the car .

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Initial\:Velocity=0\:m/s}

\longmapsto\tt{Final\:Velocity=24\:m/s}

\longmapsto\tt{Time\:Taken=4\:seconds}

Using 1st Equation :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{v=u+at}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{24=0+a(4)}

\longmapsto\tt{24=0+4a}

\longmapsto\tt{24=4a}

\longmapsto\tt{a=\cancel\dfrac{24}{4}}

\longmapsto\tt\bf{a=6\:{m/s}^{2}}

So , The Acceleration of the car is 6 m/s² .

Three Equations Of Motion :

  • v = u + at
  • s = ut + 1/2 at²
  • v² - u² = 2as

Here :

  • v = Final Velocity
  • u = Initial Velocity
  • t = Time Taken
  • a = Acceleration
  • s = Distance Travelled
