velocity of a particle at t = 0 is 2m/s , a constant acceleration of 2m/s² who acts on the particle for one second makes an angle of 60° with initial velocity. we have to find magnitude of velocity at the end of one second.

Let velocity of particle is along positive x-axis. so, u = 2 i m/s

acceleration, a makes an angle of 60° with initial velocity, u

so, vector form of acceleration, a = 2(cos60° i + sin60° j) m/s²

= 2(1/2 i + √3/2 j) m/s²

=( i + √3 j ) m/s²

using formula, v = u + at

or, v = (2i) + (i + √3j) × 1

= 2i + i + √3j

= 3i + √3j

so, magnitude of velocity after one second , v = √(3² + 3) = 2√3 m/s
