Answer : The distance covered by the train is 56.25 m

Explanation :

Initial velocity of the train, u = 20 m/s

Final velocity of the train, v = 25 m/s

Acceleration of the train, a=2\ m/s^2

Using third equation of motion :

v^2-u^2=2as

(25\ m/s)^2-(20\ m/s)^2=2\times 2\ m/s^2\times s

s is the distance covered by the train.

s=56.25\ m

Hence, this is the required solution.
