Velocity of sound in a gaseous medium is 340 m / s. If the pressure is increased to 4 times without change in temperature, the velocity of sound (m / s) in the gas will be?

V is directly proportional to square root of P(pressure).

  1. So, when pressure increases by 4 times, velocity increases by 2 times.. So, velocity is 680m/s
