The equation for the velocity of sound is given as

v = √kRT/M

where, k is ratio of specific heat capacity at constant pressure and that of it at constant volume.

R is the universal gas constant.

T is the temperature of the medium.

M is the molar mass of the medium.

Thus ,we can say that the Velocity is directly proportional to the root of temperature and inversely proportional to the root of molar mass of the medium in which the sound will propogate.
