we know ,

speed, u = wavelength(λ) × frequency(v)

then it is clear that ,

v = u×λ

Hence ,

Distance between successive compressions and rarefactions = Wavelength = 1m

Velocity of sound = 360m/s

According to the formula,

Velocity = frequency *Wavelength

360=f*1

f=360Hz !!!ANSWER!!!

The question is easy but the catch is that:

Distance between successive compressions and rarefactions is also known as Wavelength.

tarun27442: wrong it is wrong answer options are 40 hazard 45 hazard 180 hazard and 90 hazard can you again solve this I cannot understand please
Utkarsheenikairvi: okh buddy let me solve it once again!
