✍️ Some more shots -

✯ Velocity is described as displacement per unit time.

✯ It is a vector quantity as it speed of an object moving in a particular direction.

Velocity-Time Graph

  • The variation in velocity with time for an object moving in a straight line can be represented by a Velocity-Time Graph.

  • In this graph, time is represented along the x-axis and the velocity is represented along the y-axis.

Case 1

Uniform Motion -

For all uniformly accelerated motion, the velocity-time graph would always be a straight-line.

Case 2

Non-uniform Motion -

In case of non-uniformly accelerated motion, velocity-time graphs can have any shape.

For a uniform accelerated motion, Velocity-Time Graph would depict a straight line rising upwards.

For a uniform retarded motion (decelareted) Velocity-Time Graph would depict a straight line falling downwards.
