Step-by-step explanation:

(A + B)'s 20 day's work = ( 1 x 20 ) = 2 .

30 3

Remaining work = ( 1 - 2 ) = 1 .

3 3

Now, 1 work is done by A in 20 days.

3

  • Therefore, the whole work will be done by A in (20 x 3) = 60 days.

Solution :-

Basic method :-

→ Venkat + Bhavana finish total task in = 20 days .

So,

→ Per day work of (Venkat + Bhavana) = 1/20 units / day ---------- (1)

and,

→ Bhavana alone finishes the task in = 25 days

So,

→ Per day work of Bhavana = 1/25 units / days --------- (2)

then, subtracting Eqn.(2) from Eqn.(1)

→ (Venkat + Bhavana) - Bhavana = 1/20 - 1/25

→ Venkat = (5 - 4)/100

→ Venkat = (1/100) units / day

therefore,

→ Time taken by Venkat to finish the task = 100 days (Ans.)
