Venkatesh has 53 sheeps

Solution:

Let venkatesh has "x ducks and "y" sheeps

Total number of animal heads is 81

x + y = 81

x = 81 - y ------- eqn 1

The total number of animal feet are 268

We know, duck has 2 feet and sheeps has 4 feet

Thus,

2x + 4y = 268

Substitute eqn 1

2(81 - y) + 4y = 268

162 - 2y + 4y = 268

2y = 106

y = 53

Thus venkatesh has 53 sheeps

Given :

  • Venkatesh has some ducks and sheeps. If total number of animal heads is 81 and the total number of animal feet are 268.

ㅤㅤ

Find :

  • How many sheep does venkatesh have?

ㅤㅤ

Concept :

  • From the question talking the number of cases and writing the equations step by step we can solve the question easily.

ㅤㅤ

Solution :

  • Let "x, y" be ducks and sheep's.
  • We know that, sum of ducks and sheep's = 81 that's (x + y = 81).
  • The number of total number of animals 268.
  • As we know there are two animals and in the question and we have to find the number of feets of the animals.
  1. Ducks = 2 feet.
  2. Sheeps 4 feet.

ㅤㅤ

Step-by-step equation :

→ x + y = 81

→ 2x + 4y = 268

→ 2 (81 - y) + 4y = 268

  • 2 (81 - y) = 162 - 2y + 4y

→ 2y = 106

→ y = 106/2

y = 53

ㅤㅤ

Therefore, Venkatesh has 53 sheeps.
