GIVEN :-

  • Cost price of scooter (C.P) = Rs. 16000
  • Overhead expenses = Rs. 2000
  • Selling price (S.P) = Rs. 15300

TO FIND :-

  • Loss percent.

SOLUTION :-

▪︎Actual C.P = C.P + Overhead expenses

= Rs.16000 + Rs. 2000

= Rs.18000

Here, Actual C.P > S.P

▪︎LOSS = Actual C.P - S.P

= Rs. 18000 - Rs. 15300

= Rs. 2700

Hence, Loss = Rs. 2700 .

Now ,

▪︎Loss % = [(Loss/Actual C.P) × 100] %

= [(2700/18000) × 100] %

= [(27/180) × 100] %

= [(9/60) × 100] %

= [(3/20) × 100] %

=( 3 ×5 ) %

= 15 %

Hence the loss % is 15 %.
