Length of verandah = 40 m = 400 dm

Width of verandah = 15 m = 150 dm

Area of verandah = 400 × 150 = 60000 dm^2

Length of stone = 6 dm

Width of stone = 5 dm

Area of 1 stone = 6 × 5 = 30 dm^2

Number of stones = Area of verandah / Area of 1 stone

= 60000 / 30

= 2000
