Verb is an essential part of grammar of any language. It is called the action words. Examples of verb are: ‘go’, ‘eat’, ‘talk’, ‘run’, etc. A sentence is incomplete without verb.  

Verb has the following forms:

Base form                                                  Example

Simple present tense form                       go

Simple past tense form                             goes

Present participle form                             going

Past Participle form                                   gone

Base form is also called V1; Simple past tense form is called V2; and past participle form is called V3
