following paragraph.
Surface Transport as we know is divided into two main heads viz., Ground
transport and Water transport. Ground transport is further divided into four main
categories viz., namely, Road transport, Rail transport, Rope ways transport and
Pipelines. Water Transport is also divided into Coastal shipping, Inland water ways and
overseas transport. Inland water ways is further sub divided under the following
headings - River, Canal, Backwater and Lake Transport.​
