Answer:

Equations can be written as

1/x+1/y=7

(y+x)/xy=7

x+y=7xy

And 2/x+3/y=17

(2y+3x)/xy=17

3x+2y=17xy

Equation 2 - 2(equation 1)

3x+2y - 2x - 2y = 17xy-14xy

x=3xy

1=3y

y=1/3

From equation 1

1/x+1/y =7

1/x=4

x =1/4

Answer:

Let consider LHS we have (x÷y)^-1

Now putting the values x and y in equation

(x÷y)^-1='5/11÷7/3)^-1

-15-77/77

=-92/77.

Lets consider RHS we have x-1÷y-1

putting the values in x and y

(-5/11-1)÷(7/3-1)

= -12/11

So , LHS is not equal to RHS .
