Step-by-step explanation: (To remove fraction and make this equation simpler multiply it by 4 )

P(x)= 8x^2 + 14x  + 3

=8x^2+2x+12x+3

=2x(4x+1)+3(4x+1)

=(4x+1)(2x+3)

x=-1/4 or -3/2

α+β= -1/4+-3/2

=-1/4+-6/4 =-7/4

-b/a =-(7/2)/2=-7/4

αβ=-3/2*-1/4=3/8

c/a=(3/4)/2=3/8

α+β=-b/a

αβ=c/a
