To verify :

  • -30 x [16 + (-2)] = [(-30) x 16] + -30 x (-2)

Concept :

  • In this question, we will use the concept of BODMAS which states that firstly we have to solve for brackets after that we have to solve for off after that we have to solve for division after that we have to solve for multiplication after that we have to solve for addition after that we have to solve for substraction.

Solution :

To verify we have to make the Right Hand Side (RHS) = Left Hand Side (LHS)

- 30 x [16 + (-2)] = [(- 30) x 16] + - 30 x (- 2)

- 30 x [16 - 2] = [- 30 x 16] + - 30 x (- 2)

- 30 x 14 = - 480 + - 30 x (- 2)

- 30 x 14 = - 480 - 30 x (- 2)

- 30 x 14 = - 480 + 60

-420 = -420

Hence Verified...!
