Verify (–45) × [10 + (–3)] = [(–45) × 10] + [(–45) × (–3)]

samaradavis: The first step we have to do is to open the brackets = -45×10-3= -45 × 10 - 45 × -3. Now the next step is that we have to multiply all the multiplication terms up = -45 × 7 = -450 - 135. Then the next step is = -385 = -585 therefore your answer is -385 = -585
samaradavis: Sorry i did another method

LHS = (–45) × [10 + (–3)]

= (–45) × [10 –3]

= (–45) × 7

= -315

RHS = [(–45) × 10] + [(–45) × (–3)]

= (–450)+ [(–45) × (–3)]

= (–450)+ 135

= -315

LHS = RHS (Proved)

L.H.S

( -45 )× { 10 + (-3) }

= -45 × (7)

= -315

R.H.S

{ (-45 ) ×10} + ( -45 ) × (-3)}

= -450 +135

= -315

L.H.S = R.H.S

hence proved.
