Answer:

[5/4+(-1/2)]+(-3/2) = 5/4+[-1/2+(-3/2)]

[5/4-1/2]+(-3/2) = 5/4+[-1/2-3/2]

3/4+(-3/2) = 5/4+[-4/2]

3/4-3/2 = 5/4-4/2

-3/4 = -3/4

L.H.S = R.H.S

The property used here is associative property of rational numbers under addition.
