Verify a-(-b) = a+b for the following values of a and b.

1) a = 21, b = 18

a-(-b) = a+b [Substitute the variables with their respective values]

21 - (-18) = 21 + 18 [Open brackets]

21 + 18 = 21 + 18

Since, LHS = RHS, hence verified.

2) a = 28, b = 12

a-(-b) = a+b [Substitute the variables with their respective values]

28 - (-12) = 28 + 12 [Open brackets]

28 + 12 = 28 + 12

Since, LHS = RHS, hence verified.
