Verify a x (b + c) = (a x b) + (a x c) and write the result for a=(-15)/4 b=4/7 and c=(-12)/5​

Answer:

LHS.. a × (b+c)

= abc

RHS.. (a×b) + (a×c)

= ab+ac

= a²bc

LHS.... abc i.e. -15/4 × 4/7 × -12/5

3×12/7

36/7

RHS.... a²bc i.e. (-15/4)²× 4/7 × -12/5

= (-765/16) × 4/7 × (-12/5)

= 153 × 4 × 6/ 8 × 7

= 3672/56

therefore LHS ≠ RHS

i.e. abc ≠ a²bc
